Nexton Announces Grand Opening of Publix Grocery Store
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – February 12, 2025 – Nexton, the most innovative and walkable community in South Carolina, is pleased to announce the opening of a new Publix grocery store, a national supermarket chain known for its quality products and noteworthy customer service.
Located at 1274 Nexton Parkway, in the mixed-use development of One Nexton, Publix offers a full-service grocery experience. Residents and visitors will enjoy a diverse selection of fresh produce, premium meats, bakery items and everyday essentials.

Operating more than 1,300 stores in eight southeastern states, Publix joins Nexton’s current list of over 30 retailers as the community’s second grocery store after the 2024 opening of Harris Teeter.
In addition to Publix, the first phase of One Nexton features 32,000 square feet of retail space as well as two corner outparcels and 351 Class-A apartments. Retail tenants include Catrina’s Cantina, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Swamp Fox Agency, The Packie Spirits, Roper St. Francis, Dulce Churros, Ice Cream and Cocktails, Brighton Park Dental, Ruby’s Bagels, Noire Nails, Naan Appetit and Fifth Third Bank.
Situated less than a mile from the nearest major commuting route along Interstate 26, One Nexton will provide approximately 150,000 square feet of shopping and dining space throughout its multiple phases. Future phases will include office space and additional retail and services.
Currently in year 12 of its 20-year master plan, Nexton has delivered hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space and sold over 3,500 homes, attracting thousands of jobs and bringing over 10,000 residents to the community.
