THE TUNES
More fun in the sun is headed to Nexton Square! We’re excited to welcome The Shana Blake Band to Summerville for a funky, fresh take on traditional blues. Hailing from Charlotte, the ensemble’s rich sound is tinged with hints of R&B, funk, reggae, southern rock, gospel, country, and jazz. Songs run the gamut from expressive ballads to danceable grooves. You’ll hear anything-but-ordinary originals, as well as covers of old favorites. Singer/songwriter Shana Blake, veteran guitarist Keith Shamel, bassist Dave Eatman, and drummer/percussionist John Spurrier have decades of combined musical experience and the credentials to go with them. Shana’s song “This is Your Day” was adopted as the anthem for the Susan G. Koman Race For the Cure.
