What's next at Nexton?
In April we shared with local realtors a list of highlights from our first year as a residential community and hinted at exciting things to come. Now we'd like to share the good news with you!
The now at Nexton:
We began our community with great commercial success, attracting prestigious tenants thanks in large part to our location within the regions growing jobs center. High-profile wins included our first Class-A office building, Courtyard by Marriott hotel, South Carolina Research Authority headquarters, Carolina Ale House, and others. In late 2014, residents started moving into The Parks apartments.
By spring 2015, families were calling Brighton Park Village home. Currently, over 60 households have been established, and we'll release 96 new lots this year. With nearly 100 homes currently under construction, we also ensure that about 10 quick move-in homes are available at all times. Meanwhile, construction of a new home can be completed in about six months.
We've found Nexton has become especially popular for people relocating to the area for professional opportunities. They welcome the convenience of moving in and settling down quickly and the easy access to job centers.
Many relocating to Nexton are attracted to the new Nexton Elementary School, which opened last August. Fueled by a commitment to digital literacy for all students, the school takes full advantage of Nextons GigaFi gigabit infrastructure. The school was recently awarded the Common Sense Digital Citizenship certification, meaning students know how to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly with technology.
What's next:
For 2016, Pulte and Saussy Burbank have rolled out single-level plans for under $300,000, a home style many Nexton visitors have indicated they'd like to see. Other new home styles are coming from our builders: this year, Pulte will release a limited number of townhomes, Saussy Burbank is introducing a series of larger homes over 3,000 square feet, and John Wieland Homes will roll out a new front-load garage design.
We're delivering on the promise of great community amenities, too: a new resident-only swim club is ready to open this month, and October will bring a new Greeting House Information studio.
Meanwhile, the Nexton Parkway interchange is under construction and will open in in 2017 bringing new opportunities for office and retail space. Also set for the near future: a Garden Office building suitable for small businesses.
Our goal is to create a connected community that links people to jobs and one another. Learn more about the Nexton community and our homes for sale here in Summerville, SC.
