Our First Birthday Celebration
It's true what they say - they grow up so quickly! We were thrilled on Saturday to celebrate as our first neighborhood, Brighton Park Village in Summerville, SC, turned one. It was just one year ago that our first home was sold in our first neighborhood, and we pulled out all the stops.
It was a beautiful day on the Great Lawn with activities and fun for the whole family. The kids made necklaces, got their faces painted, limbod, enjoyed balloon art, played duck duck goose and went on a treasure hunt with Eric the Pirate. The adults also got in on the fun with cornhole, water balloon tosses and potato sack races coordinated by Rainbow Childcare, also located in Nexton.
At noon, the crowd gathered around as DJ Jon Feist led the Happy Birthday song to Brighton Park Village. And of course everyone indulged in plenty of cupcakes and ice cream!
It was a fun day of celebrating all that we have accomplished in one year over 80 home sales, the opening of the Swim Club, miles of parks and trails and amazing new homes starting in the $200s!
Turning one was so much fun. We can't wait to see what 2016 has in store!
